Fonte de' Medici is an old village dating back to the 15th century, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area and immersed in the vineyards owned by the Antinori family, winemakers for over 600 years and 26 generations, who produce some of their most representative and well-known wines in this area: Tignanello and Solaia.
It owes its name to a fountain at which pilgrims refreshed themselves on their way from Florence to Rome: the nearby Badia a Passignano, then a powerful Vallombrosian monastery, bears witness to the ancient importance of this area.
The proximity to Florence and Siena, the beauty of the Chianti countryside and its eno-gastronomic richness, the refinement of the furnishings and the attentive hospitality make Fonte de' Medici a unique place.
