Siena, the beauty of the Chianti countryside, and the possibility
of a wide range of eno-gastronomical delights coupled with the richness

into our hospitality make Fonte de’ Medici an incredibly “special

 Fonte
de’ Medici is comprised of three clusters of wholly restructured
and newly equipped farmhouses surrounded by vineyards. The name
itself goes back to 1400 when travelers between Florence and Siena
would rest and drink from the spring that still passes through the
village of Santa Maria a Macerata before
continuing on their journey to the nearby Badia a Passignano, then
a powerful Benedictine monastery.
 Santa
Maria a Macerata today houses the reception and common areas:
swimming pool, restaurant, conference room, wellness center, tennis
and several apartments. The other two farmhouses, Podere
Tignanello and Podere Vivaio, are located
on the hill facing Santa Maria and are easily reached by following
a picturesque country road that intersects the vineyards.
Each of the charming apartments is
named after grape or olive varieties, reminding one of being in
one of the most famous wine and olive oil producing areas in the
world.
